Saleh Ahmed Keshlaf graduated with a degree in Statistics from the Faculty of Science, University of Tripoli. He began his banking career in 1985 as an employee in the Research Department at the Central Bank of Libya. Between 1993 and 1999, he served as Head of the Balance Payment Unit and later as Head of the Statistics Department. From 1999 to 2012, he was Director of the Governor’s Office at the Central Bank of Libya. Between 2012 and 2024, he worked as Advisor for Research and Statistics department. In 2024, he was reappointed as Director of the Governor’s Office. Over his 40-year career, he has held several board memberships, including the Arab Italian Bank (UBAE) from 2005 until 2012 and the Libyan Foreign Bank Supervisory Committee from 2007 until 2012. He also served as Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Libyan Financial Services Company from 2009 until 2024. From 2012 to 2022, he was a member of the supervisory committee in Joumhourria Bank in Libya. He has extensive experience in monetary policy, financial analysis, and international banking supervision.
