Ali Kastal graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty of Economics, Department of Economics. Between 1997 and 2000, he worked at T.C. Ziraat Bankası A.Ş. in the Foreign Trade Directorate. From 2000 until 2016, he worked on the A&T Bank Inspection Council and presided over the Council between 2009-2016. Mr. Kastal has been appointed as the Manager of the Internal Control Department since June 2016. Mr. Kastal holds Capital Markets Activities Level 3, Derivatives Instruments, Credit Rating, and Corporate Governance Rating licenses, and ISO 27001 ISMS Chief Auditor, Cobit 5 Foundation, ITIL Foundation, and GDPR DPO certifications. Mr. Kastal’s principal responsibility is to conduct and fulfill the requirements of the internal control function pursuant to Article 30 of the Banking Law and the provisions of the “Regulation on Internal Systems and Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process of Banks.”
